I have used the previous versions and they are really effective. I do not have to wait long for data to be copied from one location to another. I am sure that the new version will be also good.

Yes filters are a godsend & I have also been unsubscribing from all this crap lately. Just started using Boxbe which helps keep out unwanted emails as well.

To make filtering even easier, I use "sneakemail" disposable email addresses for all subscriptions and for most sites that require registration. Sneakemail's paid service enables one to create email addresses on the fly. So for example, for this site I could create an email address like "sheenonline-zzz@sneakemail.com" and anything going to that address would automatically be forwarded to me by sneakemail.
Mostly I just filter everything going to a sneakemail address to a single folder because I know these are of lesser importance to me. I scan the folder once a day or so. I save my "real" email addresses for personal acquaintances and business contacts, so there's far less junk among this email.
One thing I don't like about sneakemail is its name. The domain is sometimes rejected on registration and it sometimes raises eyebrows when I give it in person. I think people think I'm some kind of spammer or something. I've asked sneakemail to offer an alternative domain with a mundane name, but no response. Consequently, I'm looking for a new disposable email service with similar features.

Yes, I have found filters to be my best friend. Before my inbox was a black hole in which only spam could escape. I will definitely take heed to getting rid of all the dumb twitter and facebook notifications because they do clog up my email and I rarely even read them anyway.....
