Exclusive: My Laptop Speaks Out

I’ve been kicking it with this dude for quite a while now and we’ve been through a lot. At first, when I was younger and more able, we made music together. I was the center of the studio and we produced beats and recorded tracks on the regular. We played games online and sometimes just kicked back and watched movies all night. Even though I can’t burn DVD’s, he never complained about it. My lack of bluetooth never really bothered him, either. He accepted me for me.
Now, I’ve started to slow down a little. My hard drive is getting full and he keeps having to delete stuff. There’s no room for movies and more and more of his stuff is getting stored in the cloud. I remember when 80GB was enough for anybody, but not him. He upgraded my RAM to 2GB for our 3rd anniversary, but I think it was more about him than “us.” Just the other day, I saw him checking out a new HP online. I also saw this in his email:

How can I compete with that? I just don’t know what to do. I think it’s over between us, but I don’t know what I’d do without him. I’m too old to go back on the market. Maybe he’ll at least keep me around as his side-piece.
