Mobile devices have come a long way. I remember back in the day, I had a cell phone, an mp3 player, and a PDA. These days, you can probably get away with only a couple of devices on hand, but I think many would agree that there really isn’t one single device that satisfies all your mobile needs. You need to make calls, send texts, browse the Internet, access all your Social Media services, take photos / video, and listen to music while you do it. Fortunately, LG has come out with the new LG Chocolate Touch that does just that.

For you techies out there, The specs are as follows:

  • Dolby Mobile technology for crystal-clear sound quality
  • Sweet Visual Effects and features, including Rhythmical Beat that vibrates the handset to the beat of the music
  • One-touch Social Network Message Key for easy use of Mobile Blogging (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.)
  • Mobile Media – top-notch text, picture, video, and voice messaging, including Visual Voicemail
  • 3.2MP Camera/Recorder–quality pictures and videos, with image editor

A pretty slick device and the Dolby Mobile technology really makes a difference when your bumping your favorite music. I’m all for simple, and this phone will not only free you from your MP3 player, but you’ll be able to stay on top of your social media activities as well. Check out the demo on their site and tell us what you think in the comments.

The most important points for mobile devices:
    - easy phoning (seems obvious, but is sometimes complicated)
    - connect to Exchange to sync mails, calendar + tasks
    - everything must be finger-usable
    - long battery-life
    - no front-page-social-networking
    - no branding
    - no my-provider-thinks-this-software-is-cool-additions

So far only a few mobile phones fall into this criteria.
