Dual Electronics is launching a brand new receiver for your car that makes it easy to integrate your iPod, iPhone, and many other devices into your driving experience. It is now shipping to retailers nationwide ($179.99 MSRP). Main features include:
- High speed functionality and Bluetooth® connectivity
- Front panel USB connection that gives you direct access and controls your iPod® and iPhone®
- 3.5mm auxiliary input & 2-RCA preamp outputs
Not only can you interface with the unit to play music from your mobile phone, iPod, or other mp3 player, but you can easily make and receive calls with added quality via the included external microphone. This keeps your attention on the road, which is important in being a safe driver and in avoiding the new anti-texting laws.
“The XDMA6630 is a great addition to our line of mobile units, offering our customers the latest technology, such as Bluetooth® capabilities, which is in high demand. Dual Electronics always makes it a priority to keep up with the evolving music technology to offer our customers the maximum music experience” — Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Dual Electronics Corp.
Most interesting is that the receiver is not just limited to iDevices. While you can connect and control Apple equipment with the built-in USB connections, it also features a 3.5mm auxiliary input and 2-RCA preamp outputs (F+R/S selectable). This means that it is playback compatible with any external media device that features a standard headphone jack (any mp3 player or smartphone probably has one). The preamp outputs and MOSFET-powered amplifier let you hook up an external amplifier so you can really bring the noise.
Many newer cars come with features like this built-in, but it’s awesome to see a separate unit available for those who want to increase their ‘cool factor’ without buying a whole entire car.
