I would have to agree that Twitter is not a necessity. It's definitely not the center of my social life online. However, I gave it a chance and have been able to meet a lot of interesting people there. It's just another tool in your arsenal that will allow you to network and expand your audience. If that's your thing, anyway

But Twitter seems so… so… useless sometimes. I mean, do I really NEED to know that your kid just puked in your hand? Do you really NEED to know that I'm in the car eating onion rings? And do people EVER heed your tweet to go check out your blog? And is Twitter that important that I should spend every waking minute tweeting? It's like watching a bad soap opera–all. day. long.

Moscow this summer can’t breathe! And not only because of outstanding heat (+32 C), traffic in the city so heavy that I wonder why office managers haven’t gone on vacations in this period of time! Staying in this stony jungle every morning and evening I have to know how to reach my office or home without traffic problems.

I've only seen the turning green thing on cartoons

I did some work on the backside that seems to have paid off as far as speed.

My husband can definitely relate to this. Army = no facial hair or piercings. If his hair gets past a certain length, he gets reprimanded.

At least you're willing to make sacrifices though, that's a good thing. A lot of people are not willing to make sacrifices and then end up no where. So sad.
