I would have to agree that Twitter is not a necessity. It's definitely not the center of my social life online. However, I gave it a chance and have been able to meet a lot of interesting people there. It's just another tool in your arsenal that will allow you to network and expand your audience. If that's your thing, anyway :)

But Twitter seems so... so... useless sometimes. I mean, do I really NEED to know that your kid just puked in your hand? Do you really NEED to know that I'm in the car eating onion rings? And do people EVER heed your tweet to go check out your blog? And is Twitter that important that I should spend every waking minute tweeting? It's like watching a bad soap opera--all. day. long.

Moscow this summer can’t breathe! And not only because of outstanding heat (+32 C), traffic in the city so heavy that I wonder why office managers haven’t gone on vacations in this period of time! Staying in this stony jungle every morning and evening I have to know how to reach my office or home without traffic problems.

[...] My absolute favorite tool for making sure I’m getting things done. Remember The Milk is a pretty advanced online task manager. You can add tasks a bunch of different ways, including email and Twitter. RTM also gives you quite a few ways to organize those tasks, which is perfect for GTD. With this gadget activated, you will have the ability to view your tasks at a glance, quickly add/remove tasks, and pick which lists you’d like to see. For more information on making RTM work for you, check out Super Charge Remember The Milk. [...]

My husband can definitely relate to this. Army = no facial hair or piercings. If his hair gets past a certain length, he gets reprimanded.

At least you're willing to make sacrifices though, that's a good thing. A lot of people are not willing to make sacrifices and then end up no where. So sad.

In every business, communication skills is really important. In sales and marketing, it is very advantageous if you have good conversation skills because you will be able to communicate your offers very clearly and you will also be able to persuade your client and might just end up closing a deal.
