The Geek
I have been a computer geek since I started coding in Logo Writer on an Apple IIe back in the 4th grade. I quickly progressed to Basic, Qbasic, Turbo Assembler, C/C++, and Pascal. I used to want to be a game programmer and could actually write small programs in machine code in DOS.
That was a long time ago. I eventually started using Linux primarily. I actually did a few small coding projects, including: The E-PlayCD and E-Exec Epplets for Enlightenment 0.16, A Textbox widget for the Enlightenment Epplets library, a Tasklist App for the ROX Desktop, and a bunch of other smaller projects.
The Artist
I’m also a singer/songwriter and rapper. I produce my own tracks and play a few instruments. You can catch me trying to sing over on YouTube. I also have some original tracks that you can listen to here.
The Bodybuilder?
I have always wanted to get bigger, but I never really got into weights. I hated weights, actually. I started working at a gym and suddenly, lifting weights didn’t seem so bad. I changed my eating habits and started on a strength training program. I have put on about 15lbs since I started last year. I can finally overhead press my 5yr old son into his bunk bed. You can see my progress here.
The Blog
This is about merging Social Media / New Media into my life to make it easier to succeed. A lot of people involved in internet marketing and sales view Social Media as some kind of cash cow. I prefer to use these technologies and social advantages to make myself more valuable to the world in general. If I can do that, I’m sure that monetary success will follow. You can also catch my writings at BlackWeb 2.0.
I have been able to make drastic physical and mental changes over a relatively short period of time. I would like for others to benefit from what I have learned.
