This is quick video showing how I keep track of multiple micro-blogging services using Pidgin, Launchy, and Ping.fm. I basically send everything via Ping.fm and recieve everything via IM.

One thing I forgot to mention here is that I can also “post” to Twitter from TwitterSpy (which I mentioned in a previous post).

Thanks, Roger. Everybody seems to have the Broadcasting part down. I'm trying to spark ideas about how to listen better :)

Got it to work in IE only. In Firefox the screen just goes blank after you click the flash arrow to play.

Very nice. I use the Better FriendFeed script too, that helps me keep up with most of my sites. I also use Digsby, which has Twitter built in & I have Kwippy, Jaiku & Ping.fm bots that I have set up on my IMs through Digsby……

Just waiting for Rejaw to get a bot so I can set that up too. Easier to stay up to date that way & stay in conversations. Lastly, I use Socialthing from time to time as well.

But from your video & last post, I want to setup TwitterSpy now! So thanks.

I've always wondered why no one's made a better platform of receiving content. Of course, this is one way to do it, but it'd be better if their was a place where you could receive everything and comment and respond to it there…you could say FriendFeed is that, but I'm looking for something a little different.

You're right, there is no really solid way to keep track of everything in
one place. Everyone keeps creating new ways for us to yell at eachother, but
no one is creating a way to listen. Whatever startup solves that problem
first will be very successful.
